Today I’m sharing with you my favourite academic paper. (Yes, I’m flying my inner-nerd flag today!)
This research was published in 2012 and is one of the first studies that examined the impact of EFT on physiological symptoms.
The study measured cortisol levels of participants via saliva testing. Cortisol is the body’s stress hormone and it’s well-documented that prolonged periods of heightened cortisol levels causes all sorts of health problems.
Subjects were assigned to either an EFT group, a psychotherapy group or a no treatment group. You can read the whole article for yourself but the most exciting finding was that the EFT group experienced a significant decrease in cortisol levels.
